The Cybersecurity Category and Cyber Incidents

The Cybersecurity category aims to capture all cyber incidents occurring across the globe with a potential impact on day-to-day operations. Cyber incidents may have a cyber-physical nexus or they may be occurring strictly within cyberspace. The category is broken up into four streams:

All Cyber Threats

This stream monitors all cyber incidents identified by samdesk's AI. Overall, users will receive a high volume of alerts covering the entire gambit of cyber threats.

We recommend using this stream in conjunction with keywords, location filters, or proximity filters to tailor alerts to your unique use case.

Private Sector

This stream monitors all cyber incidents targeting private companies and their operations. Overall, users will receive alerts about disruptive incidents targeting companies in sectors such as aviation, retail, and finance.

We recommend using this stream to monitor threats against your brands and incident trends within your sector.

Critical Infrastructure

This stream monitors all cyber incidents affecting critical infrastructure and related assets. Overall, users will receive alerts about incidents with a cyber-physical nexus that are directly affecting the operation of critical infrastructure.

We recommend using this stream to monitor for physical disruptions caused by cyber attacks.

Geopolitically Linked

This stream monitors all cyber incidents involved advanced persistent threats (APT) or incidents targeting government assets. Overall, users will receive alerts about incidents that samdesk's AI has linked to an APT or incidents that have affected government operations.

We recommend using this stream to monitor for state-sponsored cyber attacks and large scale attacks with a geopolitical implication.
