You can share streams with other users in your company account.

Streams have three permission levels:

  1. Private: Viewable and editable only by the user who created the stream.

  2. View-Only: Viewable for everyone in the account, and editable only for the user who created the stream.

  3. Shared Edit Access: Editable by all users in the account.

The sharing streams feature was implemented to enable each user in the account to easily set up their own streams, as streams are unique to each user. This streamlines the stream creation process and makes it easier to manage streams.

How Shared Streams are Configured:

You can configure your shared streams by clicking into a stream and adjusting the permission level in the dropdown to the right of the stream name. Additionally, for each of these three permission levels, there are icons to indicate the type of permission.

Private Streams:

By default, all newly created streams are private. This means only the user that created the stream can view and edit it.

View-Only Streams:

When a stream owner sets a stream as view-only, other users in the account cannot edit the stream and can only view it. This is what the stream will look like when it is viewable but not editable. We advise using the View-Only Option to avoid others adjusting or deleting the stream meant for a team to use.

Shared Edit Stream:

When a stream owner sets a stream with a shared edit permission level, other users within the account can view and edit the stream. This is what the stream will look like when it is viewable and editable.
